Belgium Music Festivals 2027: Where Can Your Band Apply?
Find Belgian music festivals and competitions for 2027: application deadlines, eligibility, open calls and festivals to watch in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia.
Finding a Belgian festival that fits your music shouldn't come down to luck. Between a metal competition in Wallonia, a rock festival in Flanders and a folk open stage in Ghent, opportunities do exist — but rules and deadlines vary from one organiser to another.
This guide is primarily for bands and artists based in Belgium. It brings together grassroots festivals, competitions that award festival slots and a few relevant showcases, with application criteria wherever published. It also lists festivals with 2027 application details still to come — this does not mean they accept unsolicited applications.
Information checked on 27 October 2026. Calls may open, close or change: always check the organiser's current instructions before applying.

Additional competitions and showcases
These are not all festivals in the strict sense, but they may lead to live performances and new stage opportunities.
Du F. dans le texte — Brussels
Competition for developing French-language artists based in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. All genres are welcome if the material is in French. Entry is free, applicants must be at least 18 by 22 November 2026 and not signed to a major label. The application needs three tracks (at least two originals), a biography, photo, technical rider, lyrics and ID. Final at Botanique on 25 February 2027. Deadline: 22 November 2026.
Rules and application on the Conseil de la Musique website
ProPulse 2027 — Ath
Industry showcases held 1–5 February 2027. The majority of the team must be based in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, with original music and a project released in 2025 or 2026. DJ sets are excluded. The organiser lists 30-minute showcases and a €150-per-person allowance under its rules. Closed on 15 May 2026.
Zenne op Toer 2027 — Pajottenland-Zennevallei
A café-concert series rather than a conventional festival. Acts with strong local ties can play a set of at least 30 minutes in February 2027 and must arrange their own sound. The organiser lists €81.90 per musician. Deadline: 22 November 2026.
Applications must go through the organiser's specific form hosted on VI.BE.
Prepare an application organisers can actually review
An organiser may require a form, email, MP3 uploads or a live audition. Their rules always come first: your press kit helps collect everything in one place, but never replaces a required attachment.
- A short biography and clear description of your sound and live set.
- Two or three representative original tracks, when required.
- An authentic live video that is easy to watch.
- A press photo, member details and contact information.
- A technical rider, stage plot and list of gear you will bring.
- Availability for qualifying shows, finals and festival dates.
- Check local eligibility: Wallonia-Brussels, Brussels, Flanders or a specific province.
Durbuy Rock requires most members to live in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation; Rocktopus targets East and West Flanders; Zappafest targets Flanders and Brussels. These restrictions matter even when your music is a perfect fit.
Do not confuse 'information to come' with 'applications open'. Some festivals book by invitation or through existing networks, without a public call.
Keep your festival pitch ready to share
A Yelinka Booking Page brings your story, tracks, photos and live materials together in one link you can include when the organiser allows it. You won't need to rebuild your presentation for every festival.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not automatically. Each festival or competition sets its own eligibility rules: some accept artists from across Belgium, while others require most members to live in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Flanders or even a particular province.
For example, Durbuy Rock's 2027 competition requires most band members to reside in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, while the 2027 Rocktopus Rockrally targets bands from East and West Flanders. Always check the residency requirement before preparing an application.
It means the festival has been identified, but we haven't confirmed a public artist application process for its 2027 edition. It does not mean applications are open.
The organiser may announce a call later, book acts by invitation or never offer a public form. Check its official website before applying and keep your artist press kit up to date.
A talent contest (tremplin) is a selection with a fixed calendar: application, shortlist, then often a live final. The prize is a slot at the festival, sometimes with mentoring.
A direct application goes through the festival's form or artist call, with no public competition. The festival picks from the applications.
Either way, the rule is the same: follow the requested format and the deadline. A message sent outside the official process is rarely read.
Rarely. Most talent contests require original songs, and some explicitly exclude cover and tribute bands.
For a cover band, the best opportunities are elsewhere: village fairs, local event committees, bars, weddings, private and corporate events.
It depends on the festival, and it's written in the rules. Common cases:
- a flat expense allowance, paid against an invoice;
- coverage of accommodation, meals or part of the travel costs, with no fee;
- a regular performance fee, less common on discovery stages.
Also check what's provided (backline, sound, lights) and what remains at your expense before accepting.
The right approach for the 2027 season
Start with three to five events matching your music and location. Prioritise upcoming deadlines, save closed calls as future references and revisit festivals labelled 'information to come'. A well-prepared, targeted application beats a generic pitch sent everywhere.
